John D. Kelley 2010 Vocations Essay Contest
2010 Essay Contest Winners- Come and See
Each year, The Serra Club of Indianapolis sponsors an essay
contest related to religious vocations. All students within the
Archdiocese of Indianapolis are invited to participate. A winner is
selected from each of the six grade levels, including junior high and
high school. These young men and ladies did an excellent
job writing how priests, deacons, and religious brothers
and sisters, invite others to come and see
Christ and discover their own vocations by their life and ministry,
Carl McClelland coordinated this year's contest and served as
master of ceremonies for the award luncheon, again held at the south
side Knights of Columbus hall. We greatly appreciate the hospitality of
the Knights and their support for religious vocations.
Each winner will be featured in future editions of The
Criterion with a picture of the student appearing along with his/her
essay. More photos are available in our Photo Section.
